Do you charge inspection fees?
No. KoboSafe never charges an inspection fee.
Who do I pay money to?
Purchase money and rent go only to the owner's account or a lawyer's client account named in writing — never to an individual agent.
Do you ask for my BVN, PIN or OTP?
Never. KoboSafe will not ask for your BVN, PIN or OTP.
What is the KoboSafe Check?
A fixed-fee due diligence report — Desk, Full or Premium — paid in advance and non-refundable. If you buy through KoboSafe, the fee is deducted from our agency fee.
How much rent can a landlord ask for in advance in Lagos?
In Lagos, no more than one year's rent in advance from a new tenant.
Can my own agent be involved?
Yes. Buyers' and tenants' agents register with KoboSafe and receive 50% of our agency fee on deals they introduce.
Who do you act for?
We act as the seller's and landlord's agent, under a written mandate. We are not a party to the sale or tenancy.
Do you serve only Nigerians abroad?
No. Our largest base is Nigerians in the diaspora, but we also serve non-Nigerians who own property in Nigeria, international investors, corporate organisations and owners living in Nigeria.
