Terms of service
These terms govern your use of kobosafe.com and the services of Estenaj Consult Global Limited t/a KoboSafe.
Our role
KoboSafe acts as agent for the owner, seller or landlord under a written mandate and is not itself a party to the sale or tenancy. We are not the buyer's or tenant's agent unless separately agreed in writing.
Agency fees
Agency services (sales, long lets, shortlets and management) are charged as an agreed percentage, set in writing before we act, paid only to KoboSafe's company account with a receipt.
Due diligence fees
The KoboSafe Check (Desk, Full and Premium) is a fixed fee, paid in advance, non-refundable whether or not you proceed. If you buy the property through KoboSafe, the fee is deducted from the agency fee.
Payments
- Purchase money and rent go only to the owner's account or a lawyer's client account named in writing.
- Nothing is ever paid to an individual agent.
- No inspection fees are charged.
- KoboSafe never asks for your BVN, PIN or OTP.
- In Lagos, no more than one year's rent in advance from a new tenant.
